For this refined hospitality destination, we sought to blend modern minimalism with warm, textural elements, creating a lounge that feels both contemporary and inviting. Wrapped in plush emerald seating and framed by broad windows, The Jade Lounge invites guests to slow down and savor their surroundings, whether it’s a lively evening at the bar or a more intimate gathering around a quiet table.
At the heart of the lounge, curved banquettes upholstered in rich terracotta velvet create a warm cocoon for guests, while globe pendants float overhead like modern lanterns. The interplay of these soft spheres against the linear ribbed walls generates a sense of visual rhythm, guiding the eye through the grand space and subtly emphasizing its lofty ceilings. Carefully considered material selections—textured timber, plush upholstery, and brushed brass accents—form a tactile palette that bridges the warmth of Lisbon’s cultural heritage with the building’s old-world charm.
We framed the design around intimate zones that encourage conversation or quiet reflection, each layered with gentle lighting to promote comfort and relaxation. By balancing sculptural shapes and tailored seating clusters, the lounge supports both lively social gatherings and cozy private moments. Ultimately, The Arc Lounge stands as a testament to the synergy of thoughtful design and historic context—an experience that honors the past while embracing the present.
